Things TO DO
When visiting our area, be on the lookout for our historic murals that can be found on the sides of buildings and underneath bridges. These murals depicting honorable servicemen throughout several wars, the Logan Guard with President Lincoln, and a history of local theatre are just a few of the area’s gems.
The Juniata River
If you’re looking for family fun, the Juniata River is your ideal location! Tubing, kayaking, canoeing, and fishing are just a few favorite activities for the outdoor enthusiast. Several campgrounds with scenic views line the river bank, perfect for family camping.
Fairs & Festivals
Most years, two county fairs offer animal exhibits, displays, carnival rides, and delicious fair food. Other seasonal celebrations include HarvestFest and the McClure Bean Soup Fair, and, of course, Goose Day.
Experience the past with visits to local historic homes and museums such as the Tuscarora Academy Museum, Canal Park with a restored lock-keeper’s house, and the McCoy House Museum which displays a memorial collection.
